For Immediate Release: MSO Presents Aural Scenes and Bold Artistry in Bravo III “Mendelssohn and Beethoven”

Jackson, Mississippi, March 22, 2021—On Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 7:30pm, the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra continues its 76th Season of Color with Chamber II: “Mozart by Candlelight” at Thalia Mara Hall, losing none of its charm (but gaining some elbow room in these crazy times).

Several of Mozart’s best-known strings-alone works take the stage for this 20th anniversary performance, including Serenata Notturna, which will ring familiar to even the most casual classic music listener. Also on the program is Mozart’s bold and expressive Adagio and Fugue with his delightful and humorous “Musical Parody”. And what better way to greet spring than with his mega-famous Eine Kleine Nachtmusik (A Little Night Music).

Tickets ($20) are available in advance only and must be purchased online at Limited seating is socially distanced at Thalia Mara Hall, with mask and temperature check required for entry. The concert will be short (no intermission), and tickets will not be available at the door. No concessions, ticket sales or Will Call. Arrival instructions and protocol will be sent with e-tickets.
