FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MSO Brings the Bravo Season to a close with “Astral Edge”

Featuring Women of The Mississippi Chorus & Mississippi College Singers

Jackson, Mississippi, April 9, 2019 – On Saturday, April 13th at 7:30 pm, the MSO will present the fifth and final concert of its Selby and Richard McRae Foundation Bravo Series, Astral Edge at Thalia Mara Hall. Generously sponsored by J. Keith Robbins, III, MD, the concert will showcase works by Mason Bates, Claude Debussy, and Gustav Holst performed by full orchestra, in a starry soundscape of cool!

This stellar selection sparkles with techno beats and ethereal effects, straddling classical music and electronica. The performance will open with Bates’ famous Mothership, followed by Debussy’s Nocturnes and Holst’s The Planets, featuring the Women of the Mississippi Chorus and the Mississippi College Singers.

The MSO Bravo Series presents five concerts per year, all at Thalia Mara Hall. Tickets for Bravo V are $26 & up for adults, and $5 for students/children. Advance tickets may be purchased online at www.msorchestra.com, by calling (601) 960-1565, or by visiting the MSO office at 201 E. Pascagoula St. between 10am and 5pm, Monday through Friday.
