For Immediate Release: MSO Presents Aural Scenes and Bold Artistry in Bravo III “Mendelssohn and Beethoven”

Jackson, Mississippi, April 28, 2021—On Friday, June 4, 2021 at 7:30pm, the

Mississippi Symphony Orchestra ends its Season of Color with the 40th Annual Pepsi Pops – “A Blast in The Park” at the Ross Barnett Reservoir favorite haunt. Event is sponsored by Brown Bottling Group, who is celebrating their 50th anniversary, EastGroup Properties, iHeart Media and WLBT.

The outdoor event will be emceed by Maggie Wade, Dave Roberts and Marshall

Ramsey. Gates open at a new time of 5:30pm and guitarist David Keary will perform from 6:30pm – 7:15pm. Concert begins at 7:30pm with a program that features movie themes, Broadway faves and Pops hits performed by the orchestra, followed by a spectacular fireworks finale. The line-up includes Burt Bacharach selections, themes from Forrest Gump, Spiderman, Pirates of the Caribbean, “Downton Abbey”, Ashokan “Farewell”, and selections from “Oklahoma”, to name a few. Chairs, blankets and food are welcome. Pepsi products and glowsticks will be available for sale.

Online ticket purchase confirmation email will serve as ticket, which can be printed or shown on smart phone at the gate. Children (ages 4-18) are $5, and under age 3 are free. Tickets will be $20 at the gate. VIP Parking Passes will also be available for $30. There is NO Will Call.
